MANILA, Philippines -- Filipino boxer Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire, Jr. believes that world’s best pound-for-pound king Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao has more than enough goods to win against his challenger from Ghana, Joshua "The Grand Master" Clottey.
Donaire, the World Boxing Association (WBA) interim super flyweight champ, said he sees the fight either going by decision or ending by the 10th Round.
"Matapang din itong si Clottey most likely siguro mga 80% or 85% magde-desisyon yon in Manny's favor but then there's always that 15% na he will take him out," said the US-based boxer.
Donaire said during a recent launch of a commercial endorsement described the Pacman as a fighter with exceptional discipline in training.
"He's gonna do well. I know Manny, he focuses well... hindi pa ako nakakakita ng tao and fighter na ganoon ka-disiplinado in terms of working out," the boxer said.
The Pacquiao-Clottey fight will held in Texas this coming March 13 (March 14 in Manila).
Donaire, who successfully defended his title against Manuel "Chango" Vargas, said Pacquiao has opened the gates to Filipino boxers in the international arena.
He added that just like Pacquiao, he wants to become a record holder himself by attempting to become the first Asian to be undisputed champion.
"Siya ang daan na tinitignan ko para maabot ko din... ang potential ko as a fighter sa talent ko na binigay ng Lord sa akin," he said.
